Private Events
Seattle Yacht Club offers a variety of rooms for private events from corporate meetings, weddings, receptions, family gatherings and holiday parties. Whether you desire a simple continental breakfast or an elaborate five course dinner, our catering menus offer something for every type of event. Let our professional catering and event staff take care of every detail to insure a successful event.
During summer months, our lawn is the perfect location for wedding receptions, company picnics and barbecues for groups of up to 500 people.
All private events must be sponsored by an SYC member or a reciprocal club member.

Private Event & Meeting Spaces
Chart Room
10 Guests
Our smallest private room is ideal for small meetings and can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.
Commodore's Room
20|30 Guests
Located on the third floor this space can accommodate 20 guests for a business conference or 20-30 guests for an intimate plated meal. This room showcases SYC's past Commodores and is rich in history.
Portage Bay Room
18 Guests
Available for rental September through April, otherwise known as the PBR, this room can accommodate 18 guests and provides a more casual experience off the Marine Room bar.
The Heritage Room
60|90 Guests
Located on the lower level this room is used for a variety of events from business presentations to 50th wedding anniversaries. The adjoining patio is perfect for cocktails on the lawn prior to dinner. The Heritage Room can accommodate 60 guests seated and 90 reception style.
Fireside Lounge
120| 150 Guests
Our largest single private room offers an incredible view of SYC's private marina. The Fireside Lounge is great year round with its cozy fireplace in the winter and the attached patio leading to the lawn during the summer months. This room can accommodate 120 guests fully seated or 150 reception style. The hidden dance floor can be exposed for a night of dancing at no extra charge.
Fireside Lounge and Ward Room
220|250 Guests
For larger events joining the Ward Room to the Fireside Lounge we can accommodate 220 guests seated and 250 reception style. Both rooms offer the incredible view of the marina and Portage Bay. Ideal for weddings, celebrations of life and fundraisers.
The Lawn
30|400 Guests
The lawn is a great space to hold an event during the warmer months and can accommodate groups as small as 30 or a wedding of 400 guests. Tents of varying sizes are available for rent depending on the type of experience you're looking for.

Elliott Bay Clubhouse
60|100 Guests
The Elliott Bay Clubhouse is a satellite facility of SYC located at Elliott Bay Marina. It is available to rent for private parties, receptions, meetings, events and hosted BBQs. It is an ideal location for members who want to self-stage an economical event or celebrate with turn-key catering. Elliott Bay's waterfront location with views of downtown, the mountain, the bay, and the marina make an impressive venue for you and your guests.
Weddings & Receptions
Whether you’re planning a wedding for 40 or 400 guests, your wedding can reflect your style from casual to elegant, intimate to elaborate. Portage Bay offers a gorgeous back drop for a ceremony on the lawn or under the tent. Your guests can enjoy cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres while strolling the grounds and dinner under the stars, then your first dance in the Fireside Lounge. Where else can you make a grand departure by boat? Looking to have your reception inside, the Ward Room and Fireside Lounge can accommodate up to 220 guests with a gorgeous view of Portage Bay.
